TAX DATABASE SEARCH FIELDS

TAX BILL NAME:

This field searches the name that’s on the tax bill – the individual to whom the tax bill is being sent.  This is either the owner, or someone who has been designated by the owner with the responsibility for paying property taxes.

You may search by either a first name or last name. If you wish to search by JUST last name you may enter it followed by a comma.

For Ex:  Entering “Jones” would return anyone with a first or last name of Jones

Entering “Jones,” (with a comma after it) would return anyone with a last name “Jones”

If you wish to search by BOTH first name and last name it should be entered in the following format:

Lastname,Firstname  or  Doe,John

You may also truncate the first name so that a name search term of “Doe,J” would return every taxpayer whose last name is Doe and whose first name begins with the letter “J”

PARCEL ID:

This is the parcel ID used by the Parish Assessor to identify individual taxable parcels of property.

TAX BILL STREET NAME:

The Tax Bill Street Name is the street name of the address where the tax bill is being delivered.
There are two things that are important to understand about this field:

1)     This is a STREET NAME search – not an address search.  It should be used to search by a street name and not a specific address.

2)     This is the “TAX BILL” street name – this is NOT the address of a specific parcel of land, this is the address that the tax bills are being delivered to.  In most cases the tax bill street name is the same as the subject property – but not always. In the instance of absentee owners or corporately held property these street names may not represent the street names of the individual properties
